Counselling is a supportive, confidential process where you meet with a trained professional to explore thoughts, emotions, and challenges you may be facing. It offers a safe space to talk openly, gain insight, and develop tools to cope with life’s struggles—whether you're navigating anxiety, relationship issues, grief, or personal growth. Counselling isn't about giving advice; it's about helping you better understand yourself, build resilience, and find your own path forward.


Counselling can benefit anyone—regardless of age, background, or what they’re going through. You don’t need to be in crisis to seek support. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck in patterns, going through a life transition, managing mental health concerns, or simply wanting to better understand yourself, therapy offers a space to grow, heal, and feel heard. It’s for anyone looking to improve their emotional well-being and live with more clarity and intention.


In our first counselling session together, you can expect a warm, welcoming, and non-judgmental space where we’ll take the time to get to know each other. We'll talk about what brought you to counselling, explore your goals, and begin to understand what support might be most helpful for you. I’ll ask some questions to get a sense of your history, current challenges, and strengths, but you’re always in control of what you choose to share. This session is also a chance for you to ask questions and get a feel for how I work, so you can decide if it’s the right fit for you. Most importantly, this time is about building trust and laying the foundation for a supportive therapeutic relationship.


The frequency of counselling sessions varies depending on your individual needs, goals, and circumstances. Some people find that weekly sessions provide the best support and consistency, especially when working through more intense or complex challenges. Others may prefer bi-weekly or monthly sessions as they progress or when their needs are less urgent. Together, we’ll tailor a plan that feels manageable and effective for you, and we can always adjust the schedule as your needs change over time. The most important thing is that counselling fits into your life in a way that supports your growth and wellbeing.


Yes, what we talk about in counselling is confidential. This means that the things you share with me stay between us and are not shared with others without your consent. There are a few exceptions to this, which I will go over clearly in our first session—such as if there is a risk of harm to yourself or others, or if there is a legal requirement to disclose certain information (for example, in cases of child abuse). My goal is to create a safe and trusting environment where you feel comfortable opening up, knowing your privacy is respected and protected.



It’s completely understandable to feel cautious if you’ve had a bad experience with a prior counsellor! Not every therapeutic relationship or approach feels like the right fit, and sometimes it takes time to find a counsellor who truly understands and supports you. If you decide to give counselling another try, know that I prioritize creating a safe, respectful, and non-judgmental space where your feelings and concerns matter. We can move at a pace that feels comfortable for you, and I encourage open communication so we can work together to make your experience positive and helpful. Your past experience doesn’t define your future healing.


At this time, I do not currently accept third-party insurance coverage; however, I am actively working toward offering this option in the near future. While this process is underway, I’m offering discounted session rates to help make counselling more accessible and affordable for those seeking support. Yes, I do. I believe everyone has the right to access support, regardless of financial barriers. I offer a sliding scale so we can find a rate that works for your budget while still providing quality, compassionate care.
